Variation in Tambopata Herp Communities

Scientists who specialize in biodiversity often study flora and vegetation throughout a wide area. However, in the Neotropics, the analyses of the natural vegetation was incomplete until this recent study. The study focuses on an area in southern Peru and gathers information to determine if the flora and vegetation in that region is similar to or contrasts the analyses of other studies conducted in neighboring areas. This study contributes to a thorough study of this part of Peru and helps scientists protect the fragile forests and landscapes that continuously come under threat of deforestation or disease because of human contact.
