Our Academic programs provide students with first hand exposure to subjects such as ecology, wildlife inventories, monitoring of macaws and giant river otters, in addition to an insight of threats and opportunities to sustainable development in the region. In this program a morning is spent at the Native Community of Infierno providing a great opportunity for interaction with your hosts. The other activities of the program are mainly focused at data collection.

Price Per Person

This program has a strong focus on showing the impact, both positive and negative, of human activities in Tambopata. You will visit a gold mining dredge, a farmer and a park rangers checkpoint.

This program is packed with lectures and provides students the opportunity to produce their own data in the field.

Price Per Person

This program is different from the other Academic programs. It focuses on sharing what we at Rainforest Expeditions have learnt about how to set up a successful ecotourism operation in a remote location that harmonizes with the environment and the neighbouring communities. Our partnership with the Native Community of Infierno in Posada Amazonas is an important aspect treated during this seminar.
