Gabriela Orihuela

Gaby fell in love with the Amazon when she was seventeen during her first trip to Madre de Dios. She came back after five years as a field biologist, and stayed with us in Tambopata Research Center for three years. She became a naturalist guide and instructor there, learning all about the forest from our Ese eja native friends, since then she has not stopped telling stories about the tropical rainforest.

Gaby left to continue her career, and now she is back after 22 years, but in a different capacity. She is the connector between the Wired Amazon team and the community, passing along our projects┬┤ stories to the world.
